2005
December 2005:
Added keyboardist to band we named SPOTLIGHT. Rehearsed and rehearsed. Arranged the exhibit for a few of the adult-artworks for January. Started recording another crazy demo-cover CD "My 5th Dimentia" trying to get others to sing on it. Almost had this one guy... Started recording some new originals for the acoustic CD.
November 2005:
Started rehearsing with 2 chick singers for maybe a trio. Found a news server that works with ISP and reader. Making some arrangements for exhibiting artworks.
October 2005:
My last exhibit at The Phoenix Rocks. Moved to Las Vegas mid-month. Advertised for musicians and singers. Started the art-scmhooze thing with the people. Vegas First Friday smaller but still fun.
September 2005:
Lost the news server, quit collecting quotes for now. Finished one Todd cover tune (22 tracks). Making final Vegas-move plans.
August 2005:
Police crackdown of Phoenix First Fridays blew up. We named it "Black Friday;" and had many meetings and emails and stuff all flying around with arts organizations, the city, the condo developers and others. Decided to move to Las Vegas and be a part of their 3-year-old First Fridays. Started talking with lots of art and music people there. The Sparklers break up.
July 2005:
NightShift broke up... too much "pressure" on the bassist. hmmmpfh... oh well... Performing with the Sparklers and recording christmas vocal tracks. Thigns not going well though.
June 2005:
Played first real gig with The Sparklers. 3-part vocal harmonies sound great. Rehearsing vocals to "Christmas Instrumentals" to try to add them, make another version. Exhibited at The Rocks again.
May 2005:
Playing in a few clubs around town with NighShift. Other guitaris unreliable. Best drummer have worked with for a long time. She rocks. Still rehearsing with The Sparklers. Finishing up some paintings for exhibit at The Rocks.
April 2005:
Even more painting for the couple other exhibits. Working with new people on a new cover/original band. Stay tuned. Putting "Misadventures In Utopia" on the back burner. Adding the adult-themed art section to the site. Exhibted at Alwun House, Awakenings and the Triangle.
March 2005:
Did a LOT of painting this past month too. Exhibit several places. Started playing a few gigs here and there with the new band (The Sparklers) kind of imformally. Opening acts mostly. Taking a couple weeks vacation mid-month. Started working on another cover CD (Misadventures in Utopia) Planning on re-working the art section of the website.
February 2005:
Did a LOT of painting this past month. Started rehearsing for the acoustic folk-rock thing I'm planning. Exhibited at Awakenings.
January 2005:
Started 6 paintings at new studio - finished one for January exhibit. Did not do any music. Just got recording console set-up last week.
