"Not Young Anymore" : 2009 (demo)

Cover demo project taking earlier, slower Neil Young tunes rocking them out and
speeding them up, changing key signatures, transmorgifying some of them.
Just something to keep the gears greased while working on originals in between.
There will be 10 tunes in all hopefully.

Cinnamon Girl    (2:45)   (Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere 1969)   .Lyrics.
(...just a bit rockier and the 3 lead guitars added...)

Sugar Mountain    (3:20)   (Live Rust 1979)   .Lyrics.
(...a couple of versions of his are out there, this was based on a real long live...)
(...one; really slow and just acoustic guitar, bass and brushes. A 6 minute song...)

Long May You Run    (2:42)   (Long May You Run 1976)   .Lyrics.
(...Sped this up and changed the feel to it. Also added 4 buried piano tracks...)
(...Trivia: This is the song he played on Conan O'Briens' last "Tonight Show"...)

Walk On    (2:07)   (On The Beach 1973)   .Lyrics.
(...probably almost tripled the meter but doubled the melody by one and a half...)
(...yeh fake horns sound fake but had to add something to make at least 2 mins...)

Mr. Soul    (2:45)   (Journey Through The Past 1972)   .Lyrics.
(...still the same rockin' way Neil did it just at 152bps instead of 122...)
(...added additional mid part at end to stretch out but chopped off a bit...)

Tonight' s The Night    (2:53)   (Tonight's The Night 1975)   .Lyrics.
(...about twice the tempo from the saggy slow blues rock into "Jazz-Wave"...)
(...cents-off intro guitar harmonics, Snare drum does different things...)

The Loner    (2:53)   (Neil Young 1968)   .Lyrics.
(...strained vocals intentionally buried, kept the strings like in the original...)
(...probably almost twice as fast in meter...)

Harvest    (2:34)   (Harvest 1972) best-selling album of 1972 (Billboard)   .Lyrics.
(...originally just a very slow piano, brush drums, stand-up bass ballad...)
(...really sped-up totally changed into uppy crossover western rock with...)
(...made-up harmony guitar and "not there" solos, put piano in there anyway...)

Heart Of Gold   some bed tracks laid - poeple said had to do this Not Finished
