"Christmas Instrumentals Volume.1" : 2004

Used only sheet music to do these. Lots of guitars still. Lots of synth.
Was a CD for sale at one time but ehhhh... didnt want to get bothered with all that.
All Public Domain material, can be used for any purpose (except commerical
without permission of course). Traditional hymns and carols even made
how-to-sing-these files for your home sing-along.

O Holy Night     (4:20)       1847 Cappeaeu/Adam     .Lyrics.
(... most people like the fake stereo synth harp parts...)

What Child Is This?     (2:40)     2:40   1865 W. C Dix     .Lyrics.
(... legend has it the original tune written by a sailor for his mistress, adapted for Christmas...)

We Three Kings Of Orient Are     (3:11)       1800 (?) John H. Hopkins     .Lyrics.
(... starts out all guitar, gradually more and more strings added each subsequent verse...)

Silent Night     (2:51)       1816 Mohr/Gruber     .Lyrics.
(... watch out, put a key-change "modulation" in at around 1:50 or so...)

It Came Upon The Midnight Clear     (2:53)       1846 Sears/Willis     .Lyrics.
(... forgot what that stereo twinkly-type sound is from the synth...)

Angels We Have Heard On High     (2:16)       1800 (?) unknown/France     .Lyrics.
(... apologize for putting in those fake "ahhs" sounds out of the synth, wont do it again, real mini-xylophone...)

O Come All Ye Faithful     (1:57)       1600 (?) J.F.Wade/1841 F.Oakley     .Lyrics.
(... a personal favorite, the dynamics, more real mini-xylophone, more strings near the end as well...)

Hark! The Herald Angels Sing     (2:34)       1800 (?) Wesley/Mendelssohn-Bartholdy     .Lyrics.
(... another favorite, pretty guitars and building-up-the-strings near the end...)

The First Noel     (3:13)       1600 (?) unknown - England     .Lyrics.
(... doing some different string cross-harmonies and such, yas got to get to listen...)

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen     (3:13)       1600 (?) unknown - England     .Lyrics.
(... was hard to do the rhythm guitars on this, many different string parts in there too...)

Joy To The World     (2:05)       1800 (?) Watts/Hendel     .Lyrics.
(... probably the most basic/simplest of them all, but there's those pauses...)

O Christmas Tree     (3:16)       1700 (?) unknown - Germany     .Lyrics.
(... all guitars first half of tune, synth "cellos" come in slow and easy then fill it up...)

We Wish You A Merry Christmas     (2:03)     13. We Wish You A Merry Christmas  17?? unknown - England     .Lyrics.
(... made up 15-sec intro for fun, speeds up each verse/chorus, strange bg interlude at 1:33... unusual ending...)

Here We Come A'Wassailing     (3:43)       1800 (?) unknown - England     .Lyrics.
(... sweet guitar at 3:00, another with different strings cross-harmonies each verse, Beatles-type ending...)
