While sitting in front of this typing machine -
tapping out symbols to fabricate a dream.
To maybe make some money - get respect from my friends -
my next road to travel is around the bend.

So send me on my way, you know I need a helping hand.
Just give me a chance and a rock and roll band.
Sometimes it's so hard I want to fly like the birds.
Like when I try to write a song and I can't find the words.

I can't find my way by myself - I need somebody else around.
I want some other one around me.

If you enjoy this I think it might make me high -
just give me my wings so that I can fly.
I could use some change or a dollar or two.
Just give me a pen and I'll write this for you.
