"Hazelwood Hell"
1993 B.G.Matthews

He stole my rent money - and used it for drugs.(guitar)
He'd spill all kinds of things on the new ***ing rugs.
He'd lie and he'd lie and like whiskey he'd smell. (guitar)
Just another part of this Hazelwood Hell.

He'd go out all night and get drunk in the bar. (guitar)
That one ***ing time he smashed into my car.
He'd yell and he'd yell and he'd yell and he'd yell.(guitar)
Just another part of this Hazelwood Hell.

But I loved him, I loved him, yes I did, it was true.
But I hated, I hated how I'd end up so blue.
His Aunt understood but there was nothing she could do.

He threw lamps down the hallway, put holes in the walls.(guitar)
Several times I made police station calls.
I helped him, I helped just as much as I could. (guitar)
I wanted to believe he had a little bit of good.

But I loved him, I loved him, yes I did, yes I did.
Though he looked like a man he was still just a kid.
Into a deep, dark depression I slid.

(guitar solo)

I got up my nerve and I told him to move.
Nothing he could do, nothing he could prove.
My life it would change for the good I could tell.
Just had to get out of this Hazelwood Hell.
I felt deep inside that one day I'd be well.
Just had to get out of this Hazelwood Hell.

(guitar to fade)
