"The lyrics were fantastic, even though we didn't know what he was saying half the time."
"This song is copyrighted in U.S., under Seal of Copyright #154085, for a period of 28 years, and anybody caught singin' it without our permission, will be mighty good friends of ourn, cause we don't give a dern. Publish it. Write it. Sing it. Swing to it. Yodel it. We wrote it, that's all we wanted to do."
Most of the recordings on this site are generally intended to feature the guitar techniques, compostion, arranging and digital multi-tracking production values as demonstrations. It is also unusual-sounding for one marginally seviceable vocalist to try to sound like different singers on the recordings. Only Todd Rundgren can do that. (Reading lyrics along with them helps...)

Not at this time. Maybe next year. Maybe two!
Yes, No, Maybe. Started on half of it. Please see Blog entry 081022 for more information. Yes. And hopefully it might be ready for the 2008 holiday season. They will all be the old-timey carols and hymns again.
You can obtain the bg original albums and public-domain music by reasonable and customary donations via your PayPal account and/or the PayPal secure credit card system or by mailing checks via the USPS (please do not send cash). "The BG8 Project" and "Dead Pet Names" fit on one disc. "Christmas Instrumentals" fits on one disc with 2 bonus tracks. "Greatest Fits" fits on one disc with bonus tracks. You can not make individual donations to obtain any of the other individual "cover" demo albums. But you can get a complimentary free one of your choice (indicate which one (1) album in your email please) for your personal review only as a bonus in your CD mailer package. See .ObtainCD. for more information. The individual free "cover" demo CDs are only avaialable to the businesses, organizations, persons, schools, etc., listed in the .FreeCDs link because they are cover demos.
Yes. Recently made the decision to make some available again if someone just has to have one. (eg. "Chicken In The Grass" is now gone. (Anything marked NFS = "Not For Sale" and anything marked NLA = "No Longer Available"). See .ObtainART. for more information (am not giving them away for nothing anymore). Also am not participating in First Fridays in the forseeable future anymore after a few years after Black Friday 2005 unless I have a specific exhibit at a specific gallery. Notice of that show will be ad/blurbed and you may come and view the artworks.
No.
Because want no ads, cookies, associations, extra coding, etc., on here and most importantly would rather you experience the real Hi-Fi mp3 conversions than the often-compressed "Less-Fi" versions some standalone players provide you on other sites. Here you have your own control over how you want to hear the tunes with your own player and EQ settings etc., however you want. Good headsets and/or a decent computer speaker system with subwoofer recommended.
Yes and No. This site does not collect any information regarding mailing lists for visitors and does not have a bg yoohoo group anymore. However, twice monthly there is an ad/blurb posted to a bgFree150Mp3s myspace bulletin and some of the yoohoo group in the .Links section. To read them just add bg at MySpace44488079 for the news. Or just come back and visit a couple times a month either here or there. Brief updates are added to the myspace page.
Because 1) simply want them to be free, 2) they were not produced in a million dollar studio with session players and vocalists with engineers and a $300,000 budget, 3) can't charge individually for any of the cover demos albums individually. They are free only to those businesses, organizations, persons and schools listed in the FreeCDs link because they are cover demos.
